On 26 March 2025, the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), collaborated with the Anti-Deception Coordination Center (ADCC), the Chinese Banking Association of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), to host “Sweet” Anti-Deception Mobile Softee to campus. This event provided an engaging and informative experience for CUHK students.
The initiative received an overwhelming response with hundreds of students lining up at the Cultural Square from noon to enjoy a complimentary cone of ice cream. While the sweet treats were a delightful offering, the primary goal was to raise awareness about scam and prevention in an interactive manner.
Complementing the ice-cream truck, the Anti-Scam Promotional Truck featured interactive games and informative souvenirs. These activities were designed to educate students about anti deception measures, empowering them to protect themselves against fraudulent schemes.
OSA extends its heartfelt thanks to all participants for their enthusiastic support, which contributed to the event’s success. We encourage students to continue engaging with similar initiatives and to remain vigilant against potential deception tactics to protect their own properties.
