The Career Planning and Development Centre of the Office of Student Affairs concluded a series of two themed career fairs on campus in October 2025. The combined Government Career Fair and the CUHK Careers Fair (Management/ Graduate/ Executive Trainee) engaged more than 2,000 students, providing valuable opportunities for career exploration and professional development.
Engaged students actively interacted with officers from civilian, professional, and disciplined services grades on campus to deepen their understanding of public service career paths and application processes.

Mrs Ingrid Yeung Ho Poi-yan, Secretary for the Civil Service of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China and Professor Irwin King Kuo-chin, CUHK’s Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) offered valuable guidance to students on navigating the public administration career paths.
In collaboration with the Civil Service Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, the Career Planning and Development Centre of the Office of Student Affairs hosted the Government Career Fair on 2 October 2025. This occasion featured participation from 24 government bureaux and departments, showcasing opportunities across more than 50 civil service grades open to 2026 graduates. Students grasped the opportunity to interact with officers from civilian, professional, and disciplined services grades at on-site booths to deepen their understanding of public service career paths and application processes. At the same time, the fair featured a series of eight career talks, each delivered by experienced government officers from departments such as the Hong Kong Police Force, the Home Affairs Department, and the Department of Justice, sharing insights into roles in public administration, policy, and community service.

The CUHK Careers Fair (Management/Graduate/Executive Trainee) was held on 15 October 2025. 17 leading firms from diverse sectors—including banking and finance, conglomerates, consumer goods, property development, public service and utilities—were invited to showcase their elite trainee programmes on campus. The event created an energetic platform motivating students to pursue their professional ambitions while allowing employers to identify high-potential talents from CUHK. Beyond the booths, attending students benefited from the CV Boost workshop utilizing cutting-edge AI resources, professional CV photo opportunities, and image consultation services.
The Career Planning and Development Centre of the Office of Student Affairs remains committed to supporting undergraduates and postgraduates for all-round career preparation and development through organising guidance and enrichment initiatives, connecting students with job opportunities and engaging employers with placement services, coordination of experiential learning programmes such as glocal internship opportunities and mentorship scheme, provision of career counselling and advisory services, and introducing students to career resources such as our AI-powered job portal.
