The Career Planning and Development Centre of the Office of Student Affairs invites undergraduates and postgraduates to the Global Internship Fair on 18 March 2026 (Wednesday) at Yasumoto International Academic Park (YIA). The fair showcases a wide spectrum of international internship opportunities across multiple industries. Whether you are planning your summer or seeking to broaden your horizons, this is an occasion you will not want to miss!
Event Highlights
- Home and Youth Affairs Bureau Thematic Youth Internship Programmes to the Mainland: Representatives from the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Youth Development Commission will introduce these programmes which offer diverse and in-depth thematic internship experiences designed to help students deepen their understanding of national development and explore related professional fields.
- Ocean Park Info Session: Gain first-hand insights into the internship arrangements, unique programme features, and application procedures.
- Youth Square – Dunhuang Info Session: Learn about the internship environment, heritage conservation work, cultural research opportunities, and practical arrangements.
- Latin Culture × International Exchange: Professors and students from Chile will share perspectives and opportunities in Latin America.
Global Internship Programme (GIP)
- “Mainland Career Exploration Series” Info Session: Now open for registration. The session will introduce unique features and career prospects across various cities.
- Major Cities in Chinese Mainland:
- Experiential Exchange at Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University in Beijing
- Shanghai Corporate Internship Programme
- Xian Cultural and Commercial Internship Programme
- Nanjing Internship Programme
- Period: 4-8 weeks from May to August
- Logistics: Includes a Pre Trip Briefing, Post Internship Sharing Session, and the University’s Group Travel Insurance, and may cover round trip flights, accommodation, cultural activities, logistical support, financial assistance, and visa application arrangements, with specific provisions varying by programme.

- Mainland and Overseas Internship Programme Booths: Learn about internship features, application requirements, preparation tips, and get your questions answered directly — helping you identify the opportunity that best fits you.
- Previous Participants Sharing: Gain first-hand and practical insights on programme selection, application preparation, and internship takeaways.
On‑Site Demo: AI Job Application Tools
- Tellus: Help students improve interview performance. The recorded videos will be adopted for CU Job Link applications, nomination processes, and serve as an interview component for the “Mainland Career Exploration Series”.
- Job and CV 360: Provide professional CV generation and career‑matching tools, enabling efficient and effective job‑search preparation.

GIP aims to provide students with opportunities to gain work experiences in cities across Chinese Mainland and around the world, including Beijing, Berlin, Brussels, Cape Town, Chengdu, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, London, New York City, Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney, Toronto. Through internships lasting a minimum of four weeks, students can enhance their language and interpersonal skills, develop workplace exposure, and broaden their horizons—all contributing to their personal growth and career development.

Financing Your Trip – Scholarships
If you are seeking financial support for your internship, undergraduate students joining eligible GIP programmes will be nominated by the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) to the Office of Academic Links (OAL) for consideration under the Education Bureau (EDB) Subsidy Schemes. You may also consider applying for the Reaching Out Award (ROA) through your College (UG) or the Graduate School (PG).
Additional scholarship opportunities are available through the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid (OAFA), the Office of Academic Links (OAL), your College, or academic programmes, such as the Whole-person Development Scholarships or other awards that support offshore learning or internship activities.
