In advancing the University’s priorities by strengthening whole-person education and deepening national understanding, one of the key commitments of the CUHK Strategic Plan, 2026-30, the Office of Student Affairs will regularize our partnerships with our counterpart in CUHK (Shenzhen) to offer impactful community-based programmes that strengthen practical skills and civic responsibility.
On 20 August 2026, a delegation from the OSA of CUHK (Shenzhen), led by Ms. Tina Tian, Director of Student Affairs, visited the Shatin campus. Both offices shared our annual plans focused on student development initiatives and discussed the implementation plan for the upcoming academic year. The meeting was a pivotal step in solidifying a long-term, structured collaboration between the two campuses.
The delegation was warmly received by our team, led by Ms. Elaine Tam, Director of Student Affairs, and the day was marked by open dialogue and a shared vision for student success.
Both offices presented their highlighted flagship events and student leadership programmes. We identified several areas of natural synergy and opportunities to co-host initiatives that benefit from the unique strengths of each campus.
Two students from each campus shared their reflections on participating in a joint activity during 2025–26. Their enthusiasm and candid feedback have directly informed our planning, ensuring that future programmes remain student-centred and responsive to the needs of our communities.
Stay tuned to our next editions for more reports. We look forward to the exciting outcomes this partnership will bring.
